"Portrait" acrylic on canvas by Heather Simmonds This site is intended to provide a gallery space and discussion arena for all professional contemporary artists living and working in Wales. In order to create a format which would be enjoyable and encourage the promotion of viewing, collecting and writing about art (similar to that which existed before the time of the communications revolution) we have designed a CAFE area for you to pour over the news and views of like-minded people. (Not quite the KARDOMAH* though)

* The original Kardomah was a cafe in Swansea where the poet Dylan Thomas, Vernon Watkins and friends socialised. The cafe was bombed during the second world war. A new incarnation exists today.
