Born on the 14 of October 1950 in Olomouc in the Czech Republic. Jaroslav currently resides in Mumbles in Swansea.

The work displayed within this page is just a small sample - selected to give a broad view of the quality and variety of work created by Jaroslav Mykisa. Jaroslav Mykisa has won a number of prestigious commissions for architectural stained glass restoration and design to contemporary glass sculptures.
 

Glass sculpture for the Terezin memorial. Each candle within the glass panels represents a thousand lives lost in the holocaust.

Jaroslav has created a number of works for private residences within Wales and throughout Europe. He has also worked on major restoration projects at Lincoln Cathedral and St.Martins in Haverfordwest, amongst others.

Jaroslav Mykisa recently exhibited work alongside seven other artists from Wales in an exhibition entitled "Dreaming Awake"

Dreaming Awake opened in the Czech Republic town of Terezin on the 9th August 2001.

The work (right) is a glass panel based on the war poem of Wilfred Owen.
