"My work is landscape based and is derived from a personal and direct response to my environment. The Gower coastline, with its beaches and rock formations, is a continuing source of inspiration for me.

A sense of scale and monumental power in nature is an important and constant element within my painting and drawing.

My primary information and research is gained through making drawings on site, ranging from small notational drawings to large-scale drawings that often stand as works in their own right.

Recently, I have concentrated on the experience of landscape spaces, focussing on the contrast between the wide expansive qualities of an empty beach and the more structured contained space of a cave."
